La Nòvia is a French collective whose members explore the boundaries between traditional music and experimental practices. In 2025, they will tackle Conlon Nancarrow (1912-1997), a composer of playing processes, best known for his famous Studies for Player Piano. Some of his pieces have been transposed here for an ensemble of classical and folk instruments (hurdy-gurdy, bagpipes, banjo, etc.). The program is rounded out by a commission from electronic musician and sound artist Jessica Ekomane.
