In partnership with the Fondation BNP Paribas, Le Lieu Unique, the centre for contemporary culture in Nantes, is organising an annual festival of experimental music based around the piano and keyboards: Variations. For 10 years now, the Variations festival has been exploring the keyboard in all its forms, particularly the most experimental ones. For 10 years, at Le Lieu Unique and more broadly in Nantes, the festival has been welcoming the cream of the international musical avant-garde.

Born in 1992, Louise Mutrel is a member of the Le Wonder artists' collective in Bobigny.
Her photographic approach explores popular icons from different subcultures, which she combines with manual and sensitive printing techniques. Since 2019, she has been pursuing visual and narrative research in Japan on the world of Dekotora, tuned trucks inspired by American decorated trucks. Louise Mutrel has approached Dekotora community gatherings as spaces of collective belief, hotbeds of aesthetic experimentation and transmission.
She has captured their energy, intensity and solidarity in images where the flamboyance of the machines (saturated colours, shiny chrome) is matched only by the pride of their creators. This project, entitled Only You Can Complete Me, was presented at the Rencontres d'Arles 2025.
