Vanessa Wagner leads a demanding, original and committed career. Her playing, rich in timbre and colour, allows her to explore a wide range of aesthetics, from classical recital to contemporary creation. Returning to Variations, she confirms her predilection for minimalist music and composers such as Philip Glass, Terry Riley and Meredith Monk. Here she draws on her eclectic tastes, as well as her assiduous attendance at the classical repertoire, to make herself the confidante of this once experimental aesthetic, now widely shared.
