Oona Doherty’s works have a social dimension. In this piece, the choreographer blends personal memories with Irish mythology, recounting the life of her great-grandfather. Seven-year-old Specky Clark, a working-class boy from Belfast, danced to survive. On stage, to the rhythm of folk music by the group Lankum, ten performers draw us into an adventure where fiction and reality are intertwined. A beautiful tale set in the heart of a lost Belfast.
