Yvann Alexandre
The choreographer Yvann Alexandre develops a precise body language, like a calligraphy of the intimate. His new piece is inspired by the Chevalier d’Éon: a diplomat and spy under Louis XV, he lived openly as both a man and a woman, making him one of the eighteenth century’s most enigmatic characters. In an elliptical set with light and sound, bodies invade the space, forming a whole that twists reality, manipulating optical effects and illusions with finesse.
