Chela De Ferrari directs eight actors with Down syndrome who take on Shakespeare’s Hamlet. By opposing different points of view and confronting the audience with its own prejudices, this political and family tragedy invites us to rethink the notion of otherness and the place of each individual in society. To be or not to be has never resonated as powerfully as in this free, funny, and hard-hitting adaptation of the English playwright’s famous play.
