Part video installation, part song-and-dance performance, D’un lointain si proche brings together a living tapestry imbued with spirituality, African heritage, and contemporary poetry: a shared language invented by Salia Sanou with nine artists from Cameroon. Their video portraits define the space within which the choreographer—accompanied by singer Ange Fandoh—invites the audience to take part in a collective experience designed to break down the barriers between cultures and imaginaries.
