Mali Futur Live is a performance broadcast in real time from Bamako and screened on stage at Le Lieu Unique. In front of the giant screen, a musician and storyteller plays the kora, an instrument native to West Africa, accompanying the live stream. The single-take sequence follows Diarrah Dembélé and Kassim Dagnogo as they cross the city on foot and by motorbike, searching for signs of the future in everyday Malian life. Through live video, music, and investigation, Rimini Protokoll opens a window onto worlds already taking shape.
