In 2018, during a creative residency, Pauline Tremblay discovered a helmet on a shelf. Inside, a label revealed the name of its owner: XXX, a key figure in the 1980s dance world. On stage, accompanied by two musicians, the choreographer combines voice, sound, and movement to bring the vanished dancer back into being. Part autobiographical, part documentary, XXX explores the theme of memory through a sensitive evocation of the 1980s, a golden age for contemporary dance.
