Three short films by Charlie Chaplin make up this film screening with live music (The Fireman, The Rink, The Adventurer). Although they were made in 1917, these comedies of manners are still relevant today in their depiction of the human condition, with its dramatic, comic, and old-fashioned flaws... On stage and in front of the screen, the Orchestre National des Pays de la Loire performs Cyrille Aufort’s music, which is original, inventive, respectful of the images and attentive to the slapstick scenes that Chaplin was so good at. A screening filled with laughter, emotion, and the pleasure of sound.
