En même temps celebrates the power of the collective and the dynamic enregy of group choreography. From flash mobs to Breton fest-noz, dances performed in unison share a common quality: they are popular, accessible forms. Synonymous with sharing, joy, and even a trance-like state, they have the power to sweep up crowds into a shared sense of elation. But are they exclusively festive by nature? In perfect unison, nine performers move through different styles, maintaining the tension without escape, until the momentum unravels of its own accord, by knockout.
