In the space of ten years, the German musician Nils Frahm has succeeded in bringing together classical, electronic, and contemporary music. In concert, he manipulates piano and synthesizers with effects pedals and plays with accidents and improvisation, making each appearance a different experience. After a break of several years without concerts and work as a composer for film (notably on James Gray’s film Ad Astra), he returns to present a repertoire that moves between sound experimentation, ambient music, and electronica.
