Skatepark

Danish choreographer Mette Ingvartsen transforms Le Lieu Unique into a skatepark to explore the speed of movement in the company of a group of skateboarders and dancers. More than a show of virtuoso prowess, Skatepark shows the emergence of a community in a shared space where generations, cultures, and social backgrounds come together. Everyone falls down, gets back up, and pushes the limits of what’s possible. What emerges is an island of resistance, where punk energy abounds, bodies free themselves, and solidarity prevails.

Skatepark takes over Le Lieu Unique. More than a show of virtuoso prowess, it shows the emergence of a community in a shared space where generations, cultures, and social backgrounds come together. An island of resistance takes form, where bodies free themselves and solidarity prevails.
