On stage, Liz Santoro tells the story of her life through dance: her childhood in Boston, ballet, New York, Paris, motherhood. But here, it is impossible to distinguish fact from fiction: some memories are real, others generated by artificial intelligence. The same applies to the dance, part of which is dictated by an algorithm. Set to music that shifts from romantic piano to pop variations, the autobiographical narrative seems to be constantly undermined. This Is Unreal questions our perception of reality in the age of AI.
