Frédéric St-Hilaire is a Canadian artist and director based in Montreal. He started out in the late 1990s electronic music scene making videos for live performances. He has presented his work in Canada at the Society for Arts and Technology (SAT) and in renowned digital art events such as Elektra and Mutek. His video performances have been featured on several national and international tours.
His recent work is inspired by travel, social sciences, and poetry. He uses video installations, films, and performances to explore themes such as the limits between reality and imagination, wandering, solitude and humanity's place in the world.
