Remains is a sensory and immersive experience where the audience members, seated in a circle in a semi-reclined position, allow themselves to be carried away by their sensations. Moving away from traditional narrative, Éric Arnal-Burtschy creates a shifting landscape, on the edge of reality and ritual. Everything shifts and dissipates: dark water, contours, swathes of light, smoke, dust, scents, and sound vibrations form a dynamic environment. The stage becomes an unstable ecosystem, a space to pass through.
