Born in the ghettos of Los Angeles in the ’90s, Krump has a cathartic power. For hip-hop choreographers Annabelle Loiseau and Pierre Bolo, Krump is an extraordinary, spectacular dance. When they take it on, the dancers are overcome by a ferocious energy that tears them away from themselves. In this new creation, the two artists infuse it with a rare musicality, making Brut(es) an explosive visual piece in which five performers give a glimpse of this explosive discipline.
