For several years, Cédric Cherdel has been fascinated by ancestral rites and their imagery. Through his encounter with the bear dance, a Romanian festival intended to drive away evil spirits, he shares an experience of transformation and transition. Accompanied by a musician, he offers a form of collective ritual to the audience that is present on stage. In this shared space, the animal becomes a watchful figure, the promise of being able to poetically heal a troubled world.
