Patriarcat, the fourth show by French-Israeli experimental music duo Winter Family, makes the chilling observation that male domination is endemic and traditional in our societies. The subject of the play is not so much to denounce its existence as it is to change mentalities and deeply shift the foundations of our education in order to move towards a more equal and fairer world. The artist duo aims to deconstruct our all-too-binary societal models and dreams of a plural, “de-gendered” future.
