Teenage Fanclub

For thirty years, this Scottish group – who counted Kurt Cobain among their most ardent fans – has continued to invent songs with a rare form of melodic elegance, making them the worthy heirs of the glorious 1960s. In the space of ten studio albums (including the greatly acclaimed Bandwagonesque in 1991), these Scots have never betrayed their artistic ideals or savoir-faire in composing songs with melodies so light they float mid-air.
