“Sayat Nova – la couleur de la grenade” by Sergueï Paradjanov

Alice Dourlen, Jonathan Seilman, Paul Loiseau

Serguei Paradjanov’s masterpiece, Sayat Nova, The Colour of Pomegranates (1969) is a work that continues to inspire contemporary pop to this day. In this visual poem, which tells the story of 18th century Armenian poet Sayat Nova, the sets, bodies, symbols and lighting cast a spell on spectators. To set it to music, Nantes-based composer Jonathan Seilman has called on two talents from France’s psychedelic scene: Alice Dourlen and Paul Loiseau. More than a film-concert, this is a real trip.
