In recent years, one could see actor, dancer, circus performer and musician Erwan Ha Kyoon Larcher working with Christophe Honoré, Mathurin Bolze, and Philippe Quesne. With Ruine, he tests his body’s limits and thumbs his nose at danger: whether engulfed in flames, or seconds away from asphyxiating in a bowl of water, he masterfully rolls out a series of mini-suicides that are intercut with songs and dances, constantly oscillating between absurd humour and tragedy.
