No Tongues

Les Voies de l’Oyapock

From 12 years old

The four instrumentalists making up No Tongues have chosen to find refuge in a vocal repertoire both ancestral and eminently alive: that of the Teko and the Wayampi – two of the last six Amerindian peoples of Guyana, living along the Oyapock River in a village on the border separating Brazil and Guyana. Les Voix de L’Oyapock frays a path in the musical imaginary of the surrounding world, offering a view of the past that sheds light on the present.
