Gisèle Vienne – choreographer, visual artist and puppeteer – has directed Robert Walser’s The Pond, which tells the story of a teenager who imagines himself to be unloved and puts his mother’s feelings to the test.

By elaborating a vocal and sound composition, working with two actresses, and about fifteen human-sized dolls on stage, Gisèle Vienne invites the audience to feel the confusing feelings and identities that play out within the family unit between amusement and sincerity, desire and fantasy…
