L’Art de conserver la santé

Ondine Cloez

While researching medicinal plants and their cultivation, choreographer Ondine Cloez discovered a collection of short poems from the Middle Ages that offered guidelines for hygiene and medicine at the time. This practical advice was tinged with humour and meant to be memorised before being passed on orally.

With two dancers, Ondine Cloez sets these aphorisms to music, revealing a worldview that separates today’s bodies from those of yesterday, as well as the daily gestures lost over generations.
