Jan Martens – GRIP & Dance on ensemble

any attempt will end in crushed bodies and shattered bones

What drives people to revolt? How, why and against whom? Choreographer Jan Martens draws on the protest movements of recent years (climate, feminist protests, Black Lives Matter) to talk about groups as organisms of resistance. He brings together an atypical corps de ballet composed of seventeen dancers between 17 and 71 years of age for a fascinating plea in dance form. Against a backdrop of protest music, he turns the stage into a space of ideological experimentation, expressing a common desire for mobilisation.
