Olivier Martin-Salvan has drawn from the writings of little-known outsider artists to compose this narrative for the stage. Whether they are mentally disturbed, inhabited by obsessions or subject to visions, outsider artists share a vital need to express themselves. This urgency gives their work a fascinating visual and narrative power – one that Olivier Martin-Salvan transposes to the stage alongside musician Philippe Floch and artist-duo Clédat & Petitpierre, who designed the costumes. With this performance, the audience dives deep into the meanders of the mind and strays far from artistic conventions.
