Ion is the fourth original work Christos Papadopoulos: the young Athenian choreographer considered by many in the European dance world to be its new “rising star.” Minuscule natural phenomena are at the heart of this show: a flock of butterflies, a cloud of fireflies… In the minimalist language that has become his trademark, the choreographer draws our gaze towards the fragile beauty of accidents, coincidences and recurrences created by nature.
