In a boxing ring, overheated by the all-encompassing fervour of breakdancing, coupé-décalé, or traditional African dances, Faro faro brings together a crew of performers taken from the streets of Abidjan for this explosive performance. For his brand-new show Faro faro, Massidi Adiatou – the great dance figure from the Ivory Coast – has drawn energy and inspiration from group dances performed in the street. In doing so, he crystallizes the fervour of Abidjan nightlife and once again lends prestige to the subcultures forging the identities of a generation, still too often ignored.
