Ernest & Célestine

by the National Orchestre des Pays de la Loire

Animated film by Benjamin Renner, Vincent Patar, Stéphane Aubier from Gabrielle Vincent's albums

Based on the drawing albums by Gabrielle Vincent, the film Ernest & Célestine, directed by Daniel Pennac, tells the story of the friendship between a little mouse named Célestine and Ernest the bear, both of whom are artists at heart but live in a world that opposes them.

A delight for children and parents alike!

When released theatrically in 2012, this children’s film was a huge success. With this ciné-concert, the public will rediscover a poetic tale showing how friendship can transcend everything – including differences. Playing to the live accompaniment of the Orchestre National Des Pays de Loire, the images in this superb animated work take on a more powerful emotional dimension, bringing happiness and joy to all children – and every adult who is young at heart.
