Throughout her career, Elissa Cassini has visited every era from Bach to Pierre Boulez – with whom she collaborated – by way of Mozart and Philip Glass, exploring every possibility of expression her violin can offer. For this new production, the French-American violinist shines a light on the similarities shared by Bach and contemporary music, thus revealing the spiritual, mystical and even organic links between these different compositions: a conversation that can be qualified as unprecedented.
