Introducing the public to rare art and music has always been this festival’s mission. This year, Un autre orient invites us to journey out to the edge of East Africa with Mozambique’s Chopi Timbila Orquestra, ambassadors of a certain orchestral music produced with xylophones of all sizes and wood types which create radically different tones. Accompanied by dancers, the young and older musicians alternate between solos and orchestral pieces, playing at different tempos.
