Trumpet player Avishai Cohen – not to be confused with his namesake, the bassist – has built a repertoire based on improvisation. His latest album, Naked Truth, is undoubtedly his freest and most radical record to date. With classical post-bop as his foundation, inherited from his idol, Miles Davis, Cohen takes us all on a journey to the sound of his trumpet. He will be accompanied by his faithful collaborators: bassist Barak Mori, drummer Ziv Ravitz and pianist Yonathan Avishai.
