At the Still Point of the Turning World
Renaud Herbin
At the crossroads of puppetry and dance, At the Still Point of the Turning World creates an impressive scenographic set-up that explores suspended bodies. Marionettes stuffed in a bag form a crowd hanging between the floor and ceiling. Like a wave, this mass begins to move ever so slightly and is quickly crossed (?) by a puppet, a dancer or two puppeteers. For this performance, Renaud Herbin enlisted puppeteer Aïtor Sanz Juanes, dancer-choreographer Julie Nioche, and singer-songwriter Sir Alice.
