Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker / Rosas & Ictus
Drumming Live
Drumming Live brings together twelve musicians and twelve dancers. Renowned choreographer Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker translates Drumming – a minimalist piece by Steve Reich – into bodies in motion, following the rigorous construction of this musical score for nine percussion instruments (bongos, marimbas, glockenspiels). In a single choreographed phrase, which is then subjected to an infinite number of mutations, this show pairs obsessive rhythms with effervescent bodies caught in the continuous flow of overpowering music.
