Cymbals play the lead role in this show, combining music and visual performance. On stage, ten percussionists perform John Cage’s But What About the Noise of Crumpling Paper (1985) and 100 cymbals by Ryoji Ikeda (2019). As a key figure in electronic art, composer and visual artist Ryoji Ikeda is known for mixing physical phenomena with mathematical concepts. As for the Percussions de Strasbourg, they have been one of the leading groups in contemporary music since their creation in 1962
